Ms. Ileana Azcúnaga graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with Departmental Honors and is a member of the Sigma Delta Pi National Spanish Honor Society. Ms. Azcúnaga then continued her studies at UCLA, obtaining her Master of Education degree in 2003.
After moving to the Orlando area with her husband, an Associate Professor of Spanish at Rollins College, Ms. Azcúnaga earned her juris doctorate in 2007 and graduated cum laude from Barry University School of Law. Ms. Azcúnaga attended Barry University School of Law on a scholarship for academic achievement and earned the Most Outstanding Student awards for Legal Research and Writing II, Mediation, and Trial Advocacy. She also served as Managing Editor of Barry Law Review Journal in 2006-2007. In 2008, she passed the Florida Bar Exam on her first attempt. Before opening up her own practice, Ms. Azcúnaga served as a Criminal Defense Attorney for the Office of the Public Defender in Orange County for two years. She then joined Abogado William at McBride, Scicchitano, & Leacox, P.A. in their personal injury litigation department and worked primarily on auto accidents and slip and fall accidents.
Ms. Azcúnaga is a member of the Hispanic Bar Association of Central Florida, Orange County Bar Association, and Seminole County Young Lawyers Division. She is also fluent in Spanish and English.
